Scholarships are gifts, gifts that require hard work!

Here are some things to consider:

1. Set aside a specific amount of time each week to search and apply for scholarships

2. Don't overwhelm yourself, set realistic goals to have a certain number of scholarships completed each week.

3. Check with Mrs. Buck for any local scholarships: they will be listed here 2 months prior to their deadline.

Armed Forces / Public Safety Officer Dependent Scholarship Open enrollment Full Tuition

Parent must be a military member or public safety officer, Must enroll at NIC, LCSC, CSI, EITC, UI, BSU, ISU, or CWI. Parent is/was determined to be imprisoned or missing in action, killed, or become totally and permanently disabled. Parent is stationed in ID on military orders and deployed to any area of armed conflict where the above stated occurred.

Postsecondary Credit Scholarship Open enrollment Varies

Has earned 10 post-secondary credits while in HS, Must obtain a competitive scholarship that is merit based

Careers That Work Scholarship Program 6/22 $1,000

Plan to attend a participating career college in Idaho, Oregon, or Washington (40 different schools, including Toni & guy-CDA). Lakeland HS will pick 5 students to win this scholarship after they have applied. To apply and see the list of participating colleges go to the website.

Must be 13 years old, be currently enrolled (or enroll no later than 2024) in an accredited post-secondary institute. 250 word essay: "If you could get one 'do-over' in life, what would it be and why?"
