I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Washington State University and have been the Lakeland College and Career Advisor for grades 9-12 since 2018, having previously spent one year in this role at Timberlake. My connection to Lakeland began in 2011 as both a volunteer and a co-founder of Lakeland’s swim team until it became school-sponsored. I grew up on a wheat farm in Montana, where the value of both hard work and education were emphasized. I bring these beliefs, along with both professional and parent perspectives, to my role, as I’m the proud mom of two Lakeland graduates. 

What I love most about Lakeland High School is its incredible students! I love helping them explore career paths, connect with scholarships and financial resources, and understand how education or training after high school can be financially possible. Watching students gain excitement and confidence as new opportunities come into focus and realizing their dreams are possible is my favorite part of my job!

Outside of school, you’ll find me enjoying my dahlia garden, which is my peaceful summer retreat and reading sanctuary. I also love traveling and seeking out any new adventure I can find, whether near or far away. If I’m not spending time at the lake or otherwise soaking in the beauty of North Idaho with my family, you might find me at concerts or Broadway shows, trying new restaurants, or embracing the excitement of the Kennel and March Madness as a devoted and spirited Gonzaga men’s basketball fan!
